Accessibility at the Morrison Center

The Morrison Center for the Performing Arts is committed to making performances, events and services accessible to everyone in our community. GETTING INFORMATION :

Ticket office staff can answer many of your questions and provide up-to-date information on performances and on-sale dates. The Morrison Center e-newsletter, a monthly guide to our shows and events, includes information on upcoming events You can sign up at the bottom of the right sidebar on this page.

ORDERING TICKETS & ARRANGING ACCOMMODATIONS

 

Call the Special Assistance Line at 426-1111 Monday-Friday 10AM-4PM when ordering tickets if you have any of the following questions or concerns:

• Wheelchair or mobility device accessible seating
• House wheelchair for assistance to and from the theater
• Access without steps
• Front-of-house seating for people with vision or hearing impairments
• Seating to accommodate a guide dog
• Sign-language interpretation (Not available on opening night)

You may also leave a message after hours/weekends and we will get back with you the next business day.


Assistance may also be requested by using the Accommodation Request PDF Form. To ensure availability, please make your requests four weeks in advance.

Wheelchair seating in Main Hall is available in Row I and (K for extra companion seating) of the Orchestra Level, and Row E and (G for extra companion seating) of the Mezzanine Level. See seating chart for details. Accessible locations are reserved for use by patrons with disabilities, but may be released for general sale when all other locations are sold. If you are planning on transferring to a theater seat from a wheelchair or mobility device, please inform the ticket office when ordering so we may seat you in an appropriate and safe location. Fire safety codes forbid items such as wheelchairs and mobility devices from being left in any aisle where they may become an obstruction in an emergency.

 

Only entries 1, 11 & 12 completely avoid stair steps on approach from lobby.

Sign language interpretation for Morrison Center sponsored performances should be requested at least four weeks prior to the performance. Not Available on opening night of “Broadway in Boise” performances or on single night performances.

Assistive listening headsets are available at all Morrison Center sponsored performances and may be picked up at the information booth in the main lobby.


PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:


The Morrison Center has two ramp entrances, one on the parking lot side of the venue, next to the Academic entrance, and the other on the riverside, main entrance to the Center. Marked disability parking is available on the West side of the building and in the Southeast lot near the Stage Two entrance to the building.

ONCE YOU'RE HERE House wheelchairs are available to transport people from their cars at the front enterance or within the Center. Please request 24 hours in advance of the event by calling 426-1424.

Both entrances are equipped with power doors. Elevator access is available to all floors of the Center. Elevator controls are in Braille. All restrooms have accessible stalls. Water fountains are at accessible heights.
