Broadway
In 1997 the Morrison Center partnered with a Utah-based agency in order to present top-notch entertainment in Boise. Since that time, the Treasure Valley has enjoyed productions such as: Jesus Christ Superstar; the first National tour of Miss Saigon; Annie; Cats; Chicago; Rent; and the international mega hit Mamma Mia!. Other notable events stemming from this collaboration include: David Copperfield; Bill Cosby; Kurt Bestor; and Hal Holbrook’s Mark Twain.
The aforementioned partner is NewSpace Entertainment, an independent live theatre and concert agency, with over 25 years of experience presenting events throughout North America. John Ballard, Steve Boulay and Bruce Granath, principals of NewSpace Entertainment, have worked together since 1987 when The Space Agency moved to Salt Lake City. In January 2007, Mr. Ballard announced that the Utah-based business would end its relationship with the Live Nation Corporation and return to its independent roots. “We are very excited to have this opportunity. The name NewSpace Entertainment is a nod to our past and a commitment to the future." Mr. Ballard explained.
The Fred Meyer Broadway in Boise Series continues our long-standing relationship as partners in presenting the best national Broadway tours and other events in the Treasure Valley.
