Behind the Curtain Concerts
is our designation for a departure from the typical Morrison Center concert experience. As the name suggests, the event takes place within that portion of the Center, often separated by the Grand Drape, known as Backstage. Behind The Curtain concerts are aimed at introducing adventureous music lovers to up-and-coming artists of the highest caliber (see sidebar for more info).
In this 180-degree reorientation, the expanse of auditorium seating becomes a dramatic backdrop for the performance while the stage itself is transformed into an intimate setting of reserved cabaret-style table seating for 250 (view chart). A social hour preceeds the concert complete with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a no-host bar. Entry is made through the performer's backstage access doors rather than the grand foyer and patrons are issued a backstage pass in lieu of the normal ticket.
