PARKING PROCESS CHANGES FOR MORRISON CENTER EVENTS EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011
In an effort to improve customer satisfaction, expedite traffic flow and assist in timely arrivals for performances a new, streamlined parking process is in effect for events at the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Boise State University.
The $5 per car public parking fee for Morrison Center events has been discontinued. Instead, the per ticket service fee has been increased by $1.50 at the point of ticket purchase to offset rising safety, personnel, maintenance and operating costs for the University.
Boise State University provides services to the Morrison Center such as event lot staffing, safety and directional signage, shuttle or cart service for those in need, grounds keeping, and parking lot and garage maintenance, as well as the opportunity to park.
Growing student enrollment, ongoing Boise State construction projects and increased activity at this cultural destination have greatly impacted access to the Morrison Center. The service fee benefits all ticket holders by providing safe, convenient, well-maintained and accessible entry to the venue.
Morrison Center Broadway in Boise subscribers, as well as season subscribers or donors to the Boise Philharmonic, Ballet Idaho and Trey McIntyre Project, will be issued a limited number of Boise State parking decals to secure priority parking.
Public parking is available in the Brady Garage and nearby surface lots. Patrons in need of accessible parking will be directed to a limited number of spaces next to the academic entrance of the Morrison Center or the first floor of the Brady Garage. Parking attendants will be on hand to offer directions and assistance. An accessible courtesy shuttle will be available.
Patrons are strongly encouraged to plan ahead when attending a Morrison Center event and arrive at least 30 minutes prior to show time.
For additional information, contact the Morrison Center at (208) 426-1609.
Accessible Parking: Paid accessible parking spaces will be available during events. Parking attendants will direct you to designated spaces for each event.
