Help Us Combat Ticket Scalpers

While it is not illegal to scalp tickets in the state of Idaho, by purchasing from a scalper you are not only padding their pockets and further encouraging the continued inflation of ticket prices, you are also giving up certain safeguards inherent in authorized purchases. The Morrison Center cannot verify the validity of nor take any responsibility for tickets purchased through unauthorized third parties.

With the increased popularity of some of our performances, more Morrison Center tickets are popping up on secondary ticketing sites. In case you're wondering how you can help combat the scalpers, here are a few things we suggest:

Never sell your tickets to a third party broker. Instead, consider gifting them to an acquaintance or donating them back to the Center's Fred Meyer Education Fund in order to allow a deserving student the opportunity for that "experience of a lifetime."

Never purchase from an unauthorized agent. Purchase tickets only from Select-A-Seat outlets, online at idahotickets.com, or call the on-campus box offices at 426-1110 (Morrison Center) or 426-1494 (in front of Bronco Stadium).

Do not support the reselling of our tickets at a price above the printed face value. There have been many instances where ticket brokers have launched websites that contain the theatre name and/or name of our shows in order to confuse tickets buyers. The only way to be sure you are purchasing from an authorized agent or website is to use one of the sources listed above.

Educate your friends, family and colleagues. If you're a Fred Meyer Broadway in Boise season ticket holder or a frequent patron of the Center, be an advocate for the benefits of dealing directing with our staff. They will thank you next time they get a guaranteed great seat at a fair price.

Report it. If you see or hear of tickets on other sites that you know are for events at the Morrison Center and the price is not same price as from one of our authorized agents, please call us at 426-4103 and let us know.
